DAYTRIPPING: FORT TOTTEN PARK, QUEENS – PART 3: NATURE IS ALIVE AND WELL

I started hiking through Fort Totten Park in the fall and was thrilled to discover not only that the site was chuck full of history but it also is spectacularly beautiful.  Particularly given the stresses of the pandemic that have plagued us this past year I am so fortunate to have such a peaceful and calm inducing place to visit every day,  breathe in the fresh air coming off the Long Island Sound and listen, not  to the cacophony of trucks and cars but the restorative  sounds of the the gentle waves along the rocks, the rustling leaves and the music of many birds.  Let me share some of these moments  with you  so perhaps you can experience the serene beauty in your own way.

Cameos of Lady Vee included.
