UNIQUE ACCOMMODATIONS DURING MY WORLD JOURNEYS PART THREE: INDIA – PANNA

Panna was the site of the main reason I decided to take a chance on traveling to India -it is where the Panna Tiger Reserve lies.  It is a protected area of 210 square miles and has about 50 resident tigers. The reserve has the last tiger habitat range in the Northern Madhya Pradesh region of India.  Upfront I will tell you that this photo below was the only shot I got of these beautiful but very elusive creatures:

Still, I loved Panna for its golden landscapes:

 

 

There was wildlife to be seen –

And glorious birds.  I photographed so many one of my fellow travelers gave me a new knick- name:  BIRDGIRL:

The accommodations were also so lovely and fit right in with the theme of the reserve:

In addition, I had one of the most delicious meals with a stunningly set table in the main lodge:
