My UCAP (Up Close and Personal) review of my guide Vitor Marigo’s Parque Nacional Da Tijuca photo book
has to begin with the subject of the Christ the Redeemer statue. It is instantly recognizable as it stands 99 feet tall, standing on a 26ft high pedestal and the arms stretch 92 feet wide, overlooking Guanabara Bay in Rio De Janeiro. You can read about its history in an earlier post, here.
I imagine every single tourist who visits the park, whether from Brazil or anywhere in the world takes innumerable photos of this magnificent structure. None of the ones I have seen have matched the beauty, inventiveness and glory of those from my super talented photographer/guide, Vitor Marigo. Using land and drone cameras, close-up and far, day and night. and in varying weather conditions, his vision of the Christ the Redeemer statue is breathtaking. Sit back and take it all in:
Visitor’s photos are a marvel – more next week!
